The battle happened about 1405 BC. By faith the walls of Jericho fell compassed about seven days. The conquest of Jericho:

1 The gates of Jericho were securely fastened for fear of the Israelites,
no one could leave or enter. 2 And the Lord said to Joshua, "I have
given into thine hand Jericho, and the king with his warriors! 3 You and
your soldiers will march once around the city Do this for six days. 4
Seven priests carry trumpets of rams' horns, and march before the ark .
On the seventh day you will march seven times around the city, while the
priests blow the trumpets. 5 When you hear all the touch of war , the
people shall shout aloud. Then the walls of the city will collapse, and
each enter unimpeded. "

6 So Joshua son of Nun called the priests
and told them : ' Load the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and seven
trumpets and march with you against her. " 7 And said to the people:"Go
ahead ! March around the city ! But the armed men should go to the front
of the ark of the Lord. "

8 When Joshua had finished giving
instructions to the people, the seven priests marched in front of the
ark of the covenant of the Lord playing their trumpets, and the ark of
the covenant followed them. 9 gunmen marched ahead of the priests who
blew the trumpets, and the ark after leaving the rear. All this time the
trumpets did not stop ringing. 10 The rest of the people, however,
Joshua commanded march in silence, without a word or cry until the day
they gave the order to shout loudly.

11 Joshua did carry the ark
around Jericho once. Then the people returned to camp for the night. 12
The next day, Joshua got up early, and the priests carried the ark of
the Lord. 13 The seven priests carrying trumpets went forward, marching
in front of the ark while playing their trumpets. The gunmen marched
before them, and the ark of the Lord after leaving the rear. Never
ceased to hear the trumpets ! 14 In this second day once marched around
Jericho, and then returned to camp. So they did for six days.

15
On the seventh day, at sunrise , stood up and marched around the city as
they had done the previous day , only in the march that day repeated
seven times. 16 In the seventh round, the priests blew the trumpets, and
Joshua commanded the army, "Begin to scream! The Lord has given you the
city ! 17 Jericho , with everything in it, is doomed to extermination*
as an offering to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute will be saved and
those who are in his house, because she hid our couriers . 18 not going
to take anything that has been destined for extermination neither you
nor the camp of Israel endangered extermination and disgrace. 19 The
gold and silver and vessels of brass and iron belong to the Lord, place
them in your treasure. "

20 Then the priests blew the trumpets,
and the people cried loudly, whereupon the walls of Jericho collapsed.
The people moved, without yielding an inch, and took the city. 21 killed
with the sword every man and woman, young and old. They did the same
with cows , sheep and donkeys; destroyed everything that had the breath
of life. * The entire city was destroyed!

22 But Joshua had said
to the two explorers, "Go into the prostitute 's house and bring it
along with their relatives, as they swore. " 23 So young explorers went
in and brought out Rahab with her parents and brothers, and all their
belongings, and took the whole family to a safe place outside the
Israelite camp. 24 As then the Israelites burned the city with all that
was in it, but the silver, gold , bronze and iron, which put into the
treasury of the house of the Lord. 25 So Joshua saved Rahab the
prostitute, her entire family and all their possessions, because she hid
the messengers whom he had sent to Jericho . And since then, Rajab and
his family live with the people of Israel.

26 At that time Joshua made this oath:

"Cursed be the presence of the Lord
who dares to rebuild this city!
They take the foundation
at the expense of the life of his eldest son.
Put doors
at the expense of the life of his youngest son."

27 The Lord was with Joshua , and his fame spread throughout the country.
Hear a HALLELUJAH IN HEAVEN.
AND THE LORD SAID:
Joshua 6:
He continued and said to him;
 Today this prophecy is fulfilled.
